How about a lemon twist

It was a perfect Sunday in the city. Started with a nice hearty brunch at the German gem Suppenkuche and then a nice stroll through Hayes Valley finest boutiques. I just love that neighborhood and I am excited that next week I will be moving, yes once again, just blocks away. One of my favorite parts of the day - a visit to Lemon Twist. My friend Jeanine tried on the most adorable 60's style peter pan collared dress that looked like it was just made for her (I still have my fingers crossed that she'll run back and buy it). A husband and wife team run this gem of a place. She is behind the clothing design, he behind the graphics and I am pretty sure they are one of the most adorable couples in the Bay Area. Walking in we were greeted by his great big smile as he gave us a little store background info and tour - one of the nicest boutique experiences I have had in a while. I'll be back and I'll bring my friend con credit card.

Shows

I visited the San Francisco Thread Show this past weekend and although overall disappointed by the selections, I did find quite a few amazing jewelry designers. A lot of the clothing represented felt very massed produced but amongst the jewelry, I found a lot of one of a kind gems.The Sikara lineis definitely one worth checking out - incredible craftsmanship, elegant and thoughtful. Stunning.

It happens every year

This time every year I get super of anyone who can knit. Someday I will attempt to teach myself again. Until then - I'll wallow in my own green envy.

Its Crafty Time

 

A close friend and I have joined forces inopening an artist collective in San Francisco this next year. Lightbox is our name and we are starting a series of happy hour craft shows with the first one on Dec 3 at Madrone Lounge. Please mark it on your calender and contact me asap if you you are interested in participating.

 Lightbox at Madrone Lounge on Wednesday, December 3rd, 6 pm to 8:30. There will be a dj spinning great background beats and happy hour specials for all.

I must admit I have been insanely, ridiculously giddy these last two days. Blue is definitely one of my new favorite colors. In celebration of its awesomeness, I give you some gorgeous blue prints from some really incredible artists.

Is it normal to get a little teary eyed while voting? Wow, maybe fear, excitement but right now they are coming from a nice, warm place. May I feel this same way after the end of the day.
