I just wanted to thank some of my fellow bloggers who have been so kind and supportive during my first few months of blogging. You are all fabulous and I am excited about being part of this on-line community. Readers - add these bloggers to your daily reads. You'll be very glad you did.
Adjowah of the Maven Fair blog not only writes this great blog but also runs the Maven Fair Craft show and designs her own extremely gorgeous jewelry under the name The Weekend Store. Sign up for her newsletter on her blog and receive the Valentine Day gift guide that she has developed for all of that need a little extra help finding that perfect indie gift. Save the date - May 12 - for the Maven Craft Fair 1021 Sanchez Street, San Francisco.
This sweet creative blog is one of my morning reads. Brandy has a great eye for new indie finds. Etsy Finds Fridays are one of my favorite but lucky us, this whole week was devoted to Etsy. Visit her site and scroll down to see all of special selections
One of my absolute favorites, the Modish weblog has been known to set me into deep depression. Depression that is induced by an overwhelming desire to purchase every little gorgeous thing that they post. Then I look over to my nice stack of bills and well....yes, it's very sad.
However, thank you thank you for being such an inspiration!
So yes, Midwesterners do like to stick together. We're good people. But the Prairie Mod Squad are super cool good people . They are a collective of designers/entrepreneurs in their twenties and thirties based in and around Chicago, Illinois. They started their blog as a way to showcase designs and ideas that promote a modern lifestyle. Always full of great discoveries, the blog is also visually stunning. And they offer free wallpaper downloads with really great graphic designs. I just downloaded the latest - thanks friends.
Fellow jewelry designer and one my February sponsor has been so kind as to devote her latest posts to good VDay gift ideas. Also make sure to check out her elegant jewelry line. She just launched her line of jewelry for little girls, too. Perfect for my little niece.
